Your Daycare Center in Zurich-Binz: Modern Childcare in the Vibrant 3rd District.
The kids & co Binzallee daycare center offers your child a loving second home in the quiet and well-connected Zurich neighborhood of Binz (District 3). It is the ideal childcare solution for families from Binz, Wiedikon, Enge, Leimbach, or the Sihlcity area who are looking for modern, high-quality childcare.
Here’s what our daycare center offers your child and your family’s daily life:
A sense of security from the very beginning: In small groups, we care for children from 3 months of age until they start kindergarten, providing them with plenty of attention and educational sensitivity.
A modern, bright oasis of well-being: Freshly renovated, light-filled spaces and a natural setting offer the perfect, safe environment for playing, exploring, and growing.
Individual Development (Portfolio): Through creative thematic and project-based work—which centers on movement, nature, and imagination—as well as the proven portfolio method, we support and nurture each child on an individual basis.
Excellent Public Transportation Access: Thanks to our proximity to the SZU Zurich Binz station and tram lines 5, 13, and 17 (toward Uetliberg and Manegg), dropping off and picking up your child from anywhere in the city can be seamlessly integrated into your workday without any stress.
What Your Child experiences in our Day-to-Day Life
-
The children are lovingly and individually cared for in four groups (two infant groups and two toddler groups).
Our carefully designed facilities create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, can move about freely, and enjoy discovering the world. The youngest children (3–24 months) are cared for in two infant groups tailored to their individual development, and the “older children” (24 months through kindergarten entry) benefit from age-appropriate activities and play opportunities. Für das Team stehen die Bedürfnisse, Interessen und das Wohlbefinden der Kinder im Mittelpunkt.d

Physical activity, experiences in nature, and children’s joy of discovery
Children need physical activity—every day and in a variety of ways. At Purzelbaum Daycare, we provide a wide range of opportunities for climbing, balancing, jumping, running, and trying new things. Once a week, we also spend time in the woods or outdoors. The children experience different materials, sounds, smells, and seasons with all their senses; they observe, collect, build, and discover. This is how we naturally combine physical activity, experiencing nature, and children’s joy of discovery.
-
Age-Specific Educational Work in Educational Settings
For about 90 minutes each day, the children can explore our diverse learning spaces and decide for themselves what interests them. Whether it’s exploration, creativity, role-playing, building, music, movement, or language—the age-appropriate activities invite them to discover, experiment, and learn. In the process, the children play and learn together across groups. Our educational staff closely guide them, provide inspiration, and support them in their individual development.
-
Development-Oriented Support Using Learning Stories and Portfolios (BULG)
We observe, support, and guide the children as they develop. We document important developmental milestones and your child’s current needs, and use this information to plan future play activities. In their portfolios, we collect experiences and observations that the children can proudly take home with them when they leave the daycare center.
-
Healthy meals in a caring atmosphere that encourages independence
The children choose and prepare their own meals from a wide, healthy, and varied selection of options. The team supports and guides them in a way that is appropriate for their age, helping them develop independence and a sense of autonomy. Of course, we take both cultural and medical dietary habits into account.
-
Exciting and needs-based projects
Various themed projects, tailored to the children’s ages, needs, and interests, stimulate their development and provide a varied and exciting daily routine. Whether it’s the seasons, the play of light, insects, different jobs, vegetables, or even the kindergarten project—our dedicated team is always finding new ways to create interesting projects for the children. In the spring, our oldest children proudly take part in the kindergarten project, which carefully prepares them for their next transition so that they get off to a great start!
-
Diversity and Inclusion
Children bring with them different languages, experiences, strengths, and needs. For us, this diversity is a natural part of everyday life at the daycare center.
Children whose first language is not German can receive targeted support for their language development through the KiD program.
Children with special needs are also welcome here. Together with their parents, we carefully assess what each child needs for their well-being and development, and how we can provide appropriate support in the daycare setting.
