What Your Child experiences in our Day-to-Day Life
-
The children are lovingly and individually supported in two mixed-age groups.
Our facilities, designed specifically for the daycare center, create a safe and secure environment where children feel comfortable, can move about freely, and can joyfully explore the world. Our thoughtfully designed terrace, with its wide variety of play and activity options, also invites children to play, marvel, and discover. Children are welcome to enroll starting at 3 months of age. Until they start kindergarten, we guide and support each child in their development in a way that is age-appropriate and tailored to their individual needs. The children’s needs, interests, and well-being are always our top priority.
-
Physical activity, experiences in nature, and children’s joy of discovery
Children need physical activity—every day and in a variety of ways. At Purzelbaum Daycare, we provide a wide range of opportunities for climbing, balancing, jumping, running, and trying new things. Once a week, we also spend time in the woods or outdoors. The children experience different materials, sounds, smells, and seasons with all their senses; they observe, collect, build, and discover. In this way, we naturally combine physical activity, experiences in nature, and children’s joy of discovery.
-
Age-Specific Educational Work in Educational Settings
For about 90 minutes each day, the children can explore our diverse learning spaces and decide for themselves what interests them. Whether it’s exploration, creativity, role-playing, building, music, physical activity, or language—the age-appropriate activities invite them to discover, experiment, and learn. During these activities, the children play and learn together across groups. Our early childhood educators closely monitor them, provide guidance, and support them in their individual development.
-
Development-Oriented Support Using Learning Stories and Portfolios (BULG)
We observe, support, and guide the children as they develop. We document important developmental milestones and your child’s current needs, and use this information to plan future play activities. In their portfolios, we collect experiences and observations that the children can proudly take home with them when they leave the daycare center.
-
Healthy meals in a caring atmosphere that encourages independence
The children choose and prepare their own meals from a wide, healthy, and varied selection of options. The staff supports and guides them in a way appropriate for their age, helping them develop independence and a sense of autonomy. Of course, we take both cultural and medical dietary habits into account.
-
Exciting and needs-based projects
A variety of themed projects—tailored to the children’s ages, needs, and interests—stimulate their development and provide a varied and exciting daily routine. Whether it’s the seasons, light effects, forest animals, vehicles, colors, or even the kindergarten project—our dedicated team is always finding new ways to create interesting projects for the children. In the spring, our oldest children proudly take part in the kindergarten project; they are carefully prepared for their next transition so that they can get off to a good start!
-
Diversity and Inclusion
Children bring with them a variety of languages, experiences, strengths, and needs. For us, this diversity is a natural part of everyday life at the daycare center.
Children whose first language is not German can receive targeted support for their language development through the KiD program.
Children with special needs are also welcome here. Together with their parents, we carefully assess what each child needs for their well-being and development, and how we can provide appropriate support in the daycare setting.
