Family-run daycare center with a large garden – in an idyllic location right by the Bächtelen river
The daycare centre kids & co Wabern is located on Grünaustrasse – quiet and sunny, nestled between the Bächtelen Foundation farm at the foot of the Gurten. No other daycare centre in Wabern is so close to nature – and yet easily accessible by tram or S-Bahn.
Our daycare centre offers loving care for children from 3 months to school age. In small, mixed-age groups, we create a trusting environment in which children feel safe and secure.
The bright rooms are furnished in a child-friendly manner, and the large garden offers plenty of space to play, move around and explore. During the summer months, we regularly organise forest days – with a campfire, lunch under the trees and exciting nature experiences. In the colder months, we use a nearby gym for exercise and play. We have our own cook who prepares fresh meals on site. The kitchen has been awarded the "Fourchette verte" quality label for child-friendly and balanced nutrition.
The daycare centre is easily accessible – by tram line 9 (Gurtenbahn stop), by S-Bahn (Wabern station) or by car. Childcare vouchers from all Bernese municipalities are accepted.

Walter
«Our daughter has been attending the kids & co Wabern daycare center for two years. She loves going, and we always find her happy and content when we pick her up. This is primarily thanks to the competent and kind caregivers who fully meet the children's needs.»
Mauro D. C.
«Our son spent almost two years at the kids & co Wabern daycare center and has now moved on to kindergarten, well-prepared. We had a very positive impression from the very first moment, which remained with us until the end.»

What do I do if my child is sick?
However, as long as the child can participate in the program at the daycare center, they are very welcome.
Sick children are most comfortable at home, where they can recover and get well in peace. At the same time, this helps protect the health of the other children and our team.
Is your child sick and you have to work? profawo has emergency nannies who can come to your sick child's home and care for them.

How does the settling-in process work?
We use the Berlin model for settling-in, meaning that initially the child visits the daycare center accompanied by a familiar caregiver. This allows the child to become familiar with the new environment and the caregivers in a relaxed setting. In the next step, the settling-in period is gradually extended, and the caregiver slowly withdraws until the child has developed a secure relationship with the caregivers and feels comfortable in the daily routine of the daycare center.
