Your daycare center on Europaallee in Zurich: a modern facility just a stone's throw from the main train station.
The kids & co Europaallee daycare center on Gustav-Gull-Platz offers attentive and modern childcare right in the heart of Zurich’s educational and business district. Just a few steps from the Sihlpost exit of the main train station, our facility is the perfect solution for families who live and work in the city center or in District 4.
Here’s what our daycare center offers your child and your family’s daily life:
Caring support from the very beginning: We provide professional and loving care for children from 3 months of age until they start preschool, offering them a safe space right in the heart of the city.
Bright spaces for growth: Our open, light-filled, and child-friendly facilities offer your child plenty of space for their individual development.
Nature & Physical Activity in an Urban Setting: Despite our central city location, we place great importance on outdoor physical activity. We take advantage of the many playgrounds in the area for regular outings and nature experiences.
Individualized Educational Support: Based on the proven “Education and Learning Stories” (BULG) approach, we provide holistic support for your child. Our project-based daily routine ensures plenty of play, fun, creativity, and imagination.
Maximum flexibility for working professionals: The unbeatable accessibility by train, bus, tram, or on foot makes dropping off and picking up at Zurich Central Station particularly convenient and time-saving.
What Your Child experiences in our Day-to-Day Life
-
The children are lovingly and individually supported in three mixed-age groups.
Our facilities, designed specifically for the daycare center, create a safe and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable, can move about freely, and enjoy discovering the world. Children are welcome to join us starting at 3 months of age. Until they transition to kindergarten, we guide and support each child’s development in an age-appropriate and individualized manner. The children’s needs, interests, and well-being are always our top priority.
-
Physical activity, experiences in nature, and children’s joy of discovery
Children need physical activity—every day and in a variety of ways. At Purzelbaum Daycare, we provide a wide range of opportunities for climbing, balancing, jumping, running, and trying new things. Once a week, we also spend time in the woods or outdoors. The children experience different materials, sounds, smells, and seasons with all their senses; they observe, collect, build, and discover. In this way, we naturally combine physical activity, experiences in nature, and children’s joy of discovery.
-
Age-Specific Educational Work in Educational Settings
For about 90 minutes each day, the children can explore our diverse learning spaces and decide for themselves what interests them. Whether it’s exploration, creativity, role-playing, building, music, physical activity, or language—the age-appropriate activities invite them to discover, experiment, and learn. The children play and learn across groups and often in small age groups. Our early childhood educators closely monitor them, provide guidance, and support them in their individual development.
-
Development-Oriented Support Using Learning Stories and Portfolios (BULG)
We observe, support, and guide the children as they develop. We document important developmental milestones and your child’s current needs, and use this information to plan future play activities. In their portfolios, we collect experiences and observations that the children can proudly take home with them when they leave the daycare center.
-
Healthy meals in a caring atmosphere that encourages independence
The children choose and prepare their own meals from a wide, healthy, and varied selection of options. The team supports and guides them in a way appropriate for their age, helping them develop independence and a sense of autonomy. Of course, we take both cultural and medical dietary habits into account.
-
Exciting and needs-based projects
A variety of themed projects, tailored to the children’s ages, needs, and interests, stimulate their development and provide a varied and exciting daily routine. Whether it’s the seasons, light effects, forest animals, vehicles, colors, or even the kindergarten project—our dedicated team is always finding new ways to create interesting projects for the children. In the spring, our oldest children proudly take part in the kindergarten project; they are carefully prepared for their next transition so that they can get off to a good start!
-
Diversity and Inclusion
Children bring with them a variety of languages, experiences, strengths, and needs. For us, this diversity is a natural part of everyday life at the daycare center.
Children whose first language is not German can receive targeted support for their language development through the KiD program.
Children with special needs are also welcome here. Together with their parents, we carefully assess what each child needs for their well-being and development, and how we can provide appropriate support in the daycare setting.
